Located at a reclusive valley, the farm only has three buildings, which are all former farm houses revamped for tourist lodging and activities; the owner of Alibang Ecological Farm decided to construct only enough facilities to preserve nature around the region. With the help from ecological professionals, volunteers, and environment-protection groups, the land is well organized and filled with all kinds of natural beauty. It is thus a perfect place for observing a variety of ecological systems, including wetlands, rivers, grasslands, ponds, and forest. Rich variety of insects and frogs can be found in the region. During summer, insect population would boom, and one can find butterflies, dragonflies, cicadas, beetles, etc., in daytime and fireflies, frogs, and molting cicadas, etc., in nighttime. The farm is also an excellent place for off-campus learning because of its dedication in educational work, which includes training for professional ecological guides and planning for different kinds of ecology-learning activities.
