Ventifacts & Algal Reef
Eight hundred thousand years ago, Zhuzi Mountain erupted, and lava flew to ocean in two different paths to form two long, narrow extended coastlines. Facing each other, the two extended coastline are Fugui Cape on the right side and Linshan Cape on the left side.
  1. Signature Landscape - Ventifacts
Ventifacts are rocks with sharp edges polished by winds blowing from various directions.
  2. Treasure of Linshan Cape – Algal Reef
An algal reef is the layers of lime mud formed of algae remains on rock surfaces. Forming of the algal reefs is not easy under constant abrasion from tides and wind-blown sand. Because of the presence of andesite rocks in the region, the north coast is the only place where algal reefs can be found.
  3. Recommended Activity – Observing Small Seashore Creatures
With thorough preparation, you may enjoy the tides and find various lively surprises in stone crevices.
  4. Fun with White Sand - Baisha Bay
Baisha Bay is a naturally formed crescent-shaped bay surrounded by Linshan Cape and Fugui Cape. Its 1km long white sand beach has been famous since Japanese colonial period.
