Development of this village started in Qing Dynasty. The name Qianhua is derived from an auspicious word.
 
●Alibang
The name Alibang is derived from transliteration of Plains tribes" indigenous languages. The place was once called Bufang, or "cloth shop", for people doing cloth dyeing business here during Qing Dynasty.
 
●Neialibang
Neialibang
Named for being located at the upstream of Alibang River.
 
●Shizitou
On the eastern side of the estuary where Alibang River meets the sea, the place is named for its lion-head-like terrain shape.
 
●Tougu
The word Gu means a method for people to raise funds for acquiring land reclamation certificates and hiring labor. Most lands reclaimed under such financing method have the character Gu in their names. The name Tougu, therefore, means that it is the first reclaimed land in local area.
 
●Baguzi
Located between Alibang and Neialibang.
